REVIEW FROM STORMIN'THE CASTLE 2003 - Saturday 6th September
The following night was no less of a success than the frantic Friday - kicking off with a heavy rock band from Birkenhead - Doghouse. This band was a personal fave of mine and the singer's throaty growl was made all the more gravelly by the fact that he'd sung his heart out the previous night and tonight he sounded more like Lemmy than Lemmy!! Popular at Biker festivals, Andy, Al, Rob and Robin turned out some great rock covers by Thin Lizzy, AC/DC, Deep Purple, Whitesnake as well as their own original material, but were my ears deceiving me or did we get NO Motorhead?!!!
These lads had the perfect rockin'
image and I was sure Ace of Spades would've featured somewhere in their
itinerary. It can't be easy being the first on but the band managed
to pull in many punters who caught the strains of some thundering rock
and by the time the band approached the last few songs of their set
there was a considerable crowd filling the Stormin' arena.
